From Mid-February 2023, Ian Hall will become the new Interim Moderator responsible for Inverallan, Dulnain Bridge and Cromdale Churches. His responsibilities include chairing Session Meetings and liaising with the churches to ensure that proper arrangements are made for the leading of services.
Ian is an Elder at Laggan & Newtonmore where he is involved in leading services and other church activities. He lives in Glentruim and has been there since 2000 with his wife Jo Cumming and a recent addition of a Golden Labrador who is currently going through a Teenage Phase!
Ian has been a Presbytery Elder for a number of years and is also a trained Future Focus Facilitator. He and Jo have a room for Airbnb guests and have enjoyed welcoming guests from across the world. In his “spare time” he contributes as a guitar and whistle player to the monthly Storylands Sessions at Loch Insh and also to a weekly Jamming Session at The Suie in Kincraig.
He says “In my role of Interim Moderator, I hope to work with all the church members and provide support and encouragement as we journey through the days ahead which will undoubtedly involve change but I hope that we can view the changes we will face as challenges rather than threats”.
