​Admin & Finance – includes such things as record keeping, church roll, data protection, employment contracts, data protection and safe-guarding. Managing all financial affairs of the church including annual accounts and budgets, and all matters relating to church donations and Gift Aid claims etc.  Information about Gift Aid, how to make regular contributions etc, can be found here.  This group also looks after communications – website, Facebook, weekly notices, posters etc.

 

Property & Fabric – looks after all matters relating to our buildings and contents and church grounds. Responsible for health & safety issues.

 

20/20 Group – this group is tasked with planning the refurbishment of our church building to modernise and adapt the interior to make it a place suitable for church and community uses in the years to come. Children, Young People & Families – currently this concentrates on our periodic Messy Church offerings, but we hope to offer more in the future.

 

Pastoral Care – this important group has a varied remit including home visiting, after-church refreshments, help with transport to church.

 

Church & Community incorporating Eco Chuch & Fairtrade – exploring ways the church can serve and be part of the wider communty. The many activities include recycling, Christian Aid collections, help with Food Bank, regular social gatherings etc. This group also looks after Hall Lets and community use of the church building.  Latest news about this group’s activities can be found here.

Worship – help with worship on Sundays and in Care Homes, Bible Sudy and Prayer Group, Prayer Circle, Reading Rota etc. Ecumenical liaison.

 

Whilst the above are all groups tasked with looking after church affairs on behalf of the Kirk Session, membership of them is not restricted to elders, and anyone interested in joining any group to offer expertise or enthusiasm would be warmly welcomed.
